    SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA

Slow Food Nation was created to organize the first-ever American gathering to unite the sustainable food movement and introduce thousands to food based on practices which ensure it is “good, clean and fair”. The Slow Food Movement provides an ethical and cultural dimension to the complex issues of sustainability. BCV played a leading role in the collaborative design of the Labor Day weekend gathering which urged the community to “Come to the Table” and enjoy a meal prepared from sustainable, locally produced products. The San Francisco event occurred simultaneously at both Fort Mason and in Civic Center Plaza in front of City Hall.
